MY LITTLE PICASSO

Lately Ainsley & Addison are constantly coloring or drawing on something so there are crayons, colored pencils, pens, & markers everywhere. Apparently Alivia has been longing to join in the creativity because every time I turn around she has some form of writing utensil in her hand & is frantically searching the area for a scrap of paper that she can scribble on.
Sweet success, she's found some paper!

Remember, she is only 10 MONTHS OLD!!!
Check out that form! She holds that pencil just the way she should, doesn't she? Genius!!
It's destiny, she is gonna be my little Picasso.

IT'S ALREADY STARTING!!!

What's that, you ask? DANCE COMPETITIONS!!!

Ainsley had her very first dance competition today. She was so excited & as she said it, "I'm kinda a little nervous Mom!" I assured her that those feelings were very normal & being nervous & excited would only make her do that much better once she got on stage. She did great & she looked so dang adorable.

They were the 6th performance of the competition so the wait backstage wasn't too long. All of the girls were pretty excited to be competing, especially since N & B (her dance company) has never let this age group compete before.

Aren't they CUTE?!? Once they got on stage they waited & waited & waited & waited (seriously, at least one whole minute, maybe even two) for the music to start but they ROckEd!!! Not one of these little girls moved at all. Once the music started they were bringing down the house with their awesome moves.

They competed against one other team in their category & they took FIRST PLACE!!!! Each girl received a blue ribbon & a giant medal. You couldn't wipe the grin off Ainsley's face the entire day. You also couldn't get that GIANT medal from around her neck either which was fine with me. It was so much fun to watch Ains on stage & cheer her on. I can't wait to cheer her on again!!

Disclaimer:
I had the greatest intentions to post the video of her dance BUT I am a technology dummy! I couldn't figure it out for the life of me & my darling husband hasn't been around much to tackle the task for me. So any tips, advise on how you do this would be AWESOME!?!

GIRL SCOUT COOKIES ARE YUMMY!!!

I know you all LOVE Girl Scout Cookies just like me, right? I mean who doesn't love them?!? Well our family favorites are the Thin Mints & Samoa Cookies, mmmm. Braydan orders a couple boxes of each every year. Thanks Brayd!

Yesterday Ains wanted a Thin Mint & Alivia gave me that "why aren't you giving ME one of those" looks. So I totally caved & handed her one. She definitely belongs to our family because she LOVED it!! Just look at that face...

RUBBERBANDS = HOUSES

Lately while I'm in my office working Addison will be right by my side building houses out of rubberbands. First she carefully selects the perfect rubberband from my stash (Grandma Red puts rubberbands around my mail for the store which she delivers every single day so I have TONS) & starts applying them to the knobs of my filing drawers. She then piles on as many as she can possibly fit around the knobs to create things, usually houses.
I don't want to forget the little, adorable things she does every single day that make me smile. What a cutie!!!
